London School of Sports Massage
I took a taster session with the London School of Sports Massage in February 2016 which covered the basic training of sports massage including learning the basic massage strokes, how muscles functioned and completing a full body massage.
In May 2016 I successfully passed level 3 Diploma Sports Massage Active IQ intensive course with Premier Global one of the leading schools for personal trainers and sports massage therapists.
The training covered a wide range of aspects of deep tissue and sports massage therapy including the skeletal system and joints, the nervous system, muscular system and the origins and insertions of muscles, the lymphatic system, subjective and objective assessments, palpation, massage techniques and pre and post sporting events massage techniques and many other subjects.
In August 2016 I successfully passed level 4 Diploma Sports Massage Active IQ intensive course with Premier Global and this covered a range of more specialized massage techniques and a greater understanding of muscles and their functions.
In October 2016 I successfully graduated from the Burrell Education pregnancy and post-natal massage course with Jenny Burrell. This covered the specifics required to massage both pregnant and post-natal ladies. Jenny Burrell is a passionate advocate of women’s health and anyone interested in this area should look at her website.
I am fully insured and I am a student member of the SMA (Sports Massage Association)
